Dusseldorf has evolved into an important economical, financial
and political center for the 21st century. Dusseldorf has a wide
choice of hotels, boasting over 200 hotels of a wide choice and
price ranges. When trade Fairs are on in the city, its very difficult
to find a room, so many resort to living on the outskirts of Dusseldorf
or beyond. The price of a room also increases around the time of
the Trade Fairs begin.
Apart from the Trade Fairs on in the city, Dusseldorf can offer
hotels at very reasonable rates, from luxury hotels to family run
establishments. The city centre is where all the luxury hotels are
located, especially along the Konigsallee where the fashion shops
like Chanel and Prada, as well as exquisite jewellers shops are
based.
The Old Town quarter has loads of bars, nicknaming the place - the
longest bar in the world. There are also quaint hotels located here.
The main railway station is ideally located for transport connections.
There is a lovely clock tower beside the station. Lots of comfortable
hotels are situated here.
When flying into the Rhein-Ruhr Airport, there are hotels located
in the airport district of Lohnhausen, which is also ideal for getting
to the trade fairs.
For young people there is the Jugendgastehaus Dusseldorf in Oberkassel
which offers great value for back packers.
Also available are excellent hotels that are located away from the
hustle and bustle of the city. For example is the area around the
Unterbacher See which is a haven for yachtsmen, surfers, hikers
and cyclists.
Most hotels in Dusseldorf include breakfast in the price and depending
on the hotel, one can either have a simple continental affair or
a lavish buffet.
